Tips For Your Trip
We are excited for your upcoming trip and we want to make sure that we do everything we can to help you get the most out of your snorkeling gear. Please visit the pages below for some helpful tips for your trip with instructions and videos on how to use your snorkeling equipment.
How To Check The Seal and Fit of Your Dive Mask - When you are on vacation and exploring the sea life below the surface, you do not want to worry about water coming into your mask and if your mask fits comfortably. Before submerging your mask, you want to make sure the fit of your mask is comfortable and the seal is unbroken.
How to Prepare and Clean your Dive Mask - Snorkel masks allow you to see clearly underwater, enabling you to admire fish, coral reefs and other sea creatures. Snorkel masks require the same cleaning and maintenance as scuba diving masks. To ensure that your snorkel mask works well and lasts a long time, you need to clean it after you purchase it and after each time you use it. Cleaning the mask with our Sea Buff and Sea Gold Mask Defog solutions before entering the water will also help you to see more clearly.
How to Use A Purge Valve - Your purge valve allows you to easily expel water from you mask using a one way release valve. Keep in mind that if your mask has a good fit, you shouldn’t get any leakage into your mask. Many customers install a purge valve anyway so if there is leakage, they can easily get the water out of their mask without interrupting their snorkeling experience.
How the Ultra Dry 2 Snorkel Works - There is a ball mechanism found at the top of the Ultra Dry 2 Snorkel by Deep Blue Gear. This ball mechanism contains a valve that floats to the top of the tube if it is submerged in water. When this valve floats to the top, it shuts off the tube so that no water can enter the snorkel.
