Custom Ground Prescription Lenses Snorkel-Mart offers a unique custom grinding service to manufacture prescription lenses for snorkelers whose prescription cannot be matched by our Stock Prescription Lenses.
If our stock prescription lenses don't meet your needs, we can custom make lenses to match your prescription exactly. Custom grinding takes between 7 - 10 business days (an expedited service is also available).
The price listed above is a base price for custom lenses installed in the Maui mask. However, certain prescriptions may require special grinding services. For example, a prescription with a very high degree of correction may result in a lens that is too thick to be inserted into the mask. These types of prescriptions may require the use of a special type of glass, or a specialized bonding technique to fuse the prescription lens onto the existing mask lens. These specialized services will incur additional charges, determined by the extent of custom grinding need to match your prescription.
Should your mask require any specialized grinding, we will contact you to confirm the work needed and associated cost (if any).
